The proposed changes to the current ‘no win no fee’ legislation have been in the news recently. The Government has been attacking personal injury solicitors for pursuing claims on behalf of their clients, without explaining that these officers of the court are the last line of defence for many innocent victims.
Public liability insurance covers businesses when customers visit their premises. For example, if someone visits a shop and has a trip or slip (that wasn’t their fault) they could make a claim against the business owner. This could be a personal injury claim which covers their medical expenses and also any resulting loss of earnings.
